Berkley High School Profile
Berkley High School is nestled in a residential and small business community, located in Oakland County, Michigan. 4,000 Berkley School District students come from Berkley, Huntington Woods and the north portion of Oak Park as well as neighboring districts through schools of choice.
Berkley High School supports a depth and breadth of curriculum focused on finding the right fit classes for all students. Social emotional wellness is a top focus at Berkley High School. Our staff believe that if students cannot find balance in their lives they will have difficulty being successful in the classroom. In addition to many academic offerings, Berkley High offers over 50 clubs and over 30 varsity athletic teams.

- Berkley High School has been named a Best High School in the 2025 Rankings from U.S. News & World Report. BHS Ranked #1,418 nationally, #39 in Michigan and #16 in Metro Detroit. (Based on 2024 data). View the 2025 BHS listing. This puts BHS in the top 7% of high schools in the Nation.

Depth and Breadth of Curriculum
Many upperclassmen dual enroll at one of the many colleges/community colleges in our area. In addition, approximately 3% of our students attend classes at CASA (Center for the Advanced Studies and the Arts), and 8% of students attend OSTC (Oakland Schools Technical Campus).
Class of 2025 Accomplishments
- The BHS Class of 2025 received $5.4 million in scholarships.
- This class will be attending nearly every public and private university in the state including Michigan State, University of Michigan, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Oakland University, Wayne State, Grand Valley State, Northern Michigan, Oakland Community College, College for Creative Studies and Washtenaw Community College.
- This Class of 2025 was accepted at and/or will be attending Howard University, Alabama A&M, Case Western Reserve University, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Wisconsin, MIT and Tiffin University to name a few out-of-state institutions.
- 68% of the class took at least one Advanced Placement course.
- 26% of the class was in Band, Orchestra, Choir and/or Drama.
- 32% of the class participated in Athletics.
- A record number of the class took rigorous vocational education classes.
